Rancher`s in New Carlisle

Good food, usually. Terrible service from young teens that don't care to hear your order even when you are standing there in front of them and giving them your cash for food, usually. You come in and the first thing they ask is "...for here or to go?" You say to go, but they still charge you for eat-in tax, mess up your drink, and just have all together terrible communication skill. I'd rather pay a fortune for Arby's than come back to this shack.

One of the female bosses was rude to the girl that was answering our questions and when we walked outside with our lunch, the same guy that had just made our sandwich was outside smoking. We give it a four because of these things because the food was delicious.

Always had great service with great attitude and amazing food, EXCEPT for tonight. For being a night manager and having employees call off (3 to be exact,her reason for being hateful) she should know how to talk to PAYING CUSTOMERS . The guy in the early afternoon is the best and very respectful. I see a great business losing customers if she continues.

VERY DISRESPECTFUL!On 6/11/20, @ around 8pm, I was just getting ready to place my order @ the drive through, when I was told by an employee through the microphone "Don't be rude!" Suprised by this statement, when I got to the window, I asked to speak to the Manager. This sorry excuse for a Manager, wanted to argue her case - that because their microphone wasn't working properly, and that they were aggravated, therefore this type of behavior was acceptable! Think I'm done w/this knock-off Arby's wanna be.....

My first time here. The food was great. I would recommend coming here. The customer service was bad. Went thru the drive thru and the lady at the window took my money then handed me my drinks and food. She then slammed the window without saying a word. No thank you, no have a nice day, nothing. Very rude

Good roast beef sandwich. Really liked the onion petals. Good prices too.

Family owned and they care about the community they're in. The pork tenderloin sandwich is huge! The club deluxe has as much meat and toppings as a sub from other places. And the onion pettles are great. Basically, my family love's Ranchers.

Love the local flair and a long-time mainstay in the area. Arby's only wishes they could be this good !

Expensive, lackluster customer service. Food was very hit and miss. More of a miss. Had hoped for more, but will not go back.

Best roast beef sandwiches you can get! Great variety of sides and the service is good and pretty fast!

The best thing in this town.

Local favorite. They slice the meats for your sandwich when you order it. I love the Big Beef sandwich and the Classic Roast Beef sandwich. In the cooler months they offer baked potatoes. Other sides include onion petals and curly fries along with the fries and potato cakes. Save room for their delicious shakes.

Better than arbys... fries are made to order and sandwich is thick!

The French fries were good, the chicken bites were good, the roast beef even though it is chopped and formed was ok but the fish sandwich was not worth the effort.

Great food at a reasonable price. Always a go to for a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Food selection was great. Got a good amount of food for just under 10 bucks. Chicken bites were ok. My sandwich was slightly sloppy but tasted great. Didn't receive a straw.

Very cool old-fashioned sandwich shop. You would think they were trying to be retro but they're just old. Good food fast service. Hotshots are great. So is the Italian sub. They have the barbecue beef sandwich which I wish Arby's had.

Food was terrific after I brought it back 5 miles after picking it up 5 miles before and had them remake it to where was hot and done and no it wasn't the five miles that made it not hot but it just was not cooked it was literally cold

As much as I want to like this local favorite, I have never had a positive experience with the staff. The service is always unfriendly, frustrated, and off-putting. The food is usually average. However, today they were out of roast beef (in the name of the restaurant) and bacon. When I asked about their milkshakes, they said their machine might be fixed later this month!

First time ever, we got the wrong order. We had coupon for 2 roast beef but got 2 roast beef with cheddar. We gave it away.

I visit this spot a lot since I work right next to it. I must say the service is always great and they keep the spot well organized consistently. Rates are convenient and they serve sizeable portions.

Have been eating there for 30 years. Normally would give them 5 stars however today I ordered a Chicken sandwich with tomato and Swiss cheese only.. That order was given and then repeated back to me. When I opened the wrapper the sandwich not only did not have the requested tomato and Swiss it was covered in mayonnaise and lettuce, the two items I specifically asked not to be on the sandwich.. Very disappointing!! However the fries were hot as usual...

Ranchers rules. If you're looking for Roast Beef sandwiches, this is where you need to be. Ranchers up, Arbys down.

Menu doesn't show it but breakfast is available until 11. The manager is very nice. He works 60 hours a week and wants people to stay as long as they want. He also offered up to 20 free refills!

Good food. Slow service. They need to upgrade the speaker system in the drive thru. Worker kept asking us to repeat our order an excessive amount of times. Our vehicle wasn't loud at all.

Fries were good, but neither of us cared for the pork tenderloin. Staff were friendly and the dining area was pretty clean.

Bathrooms are outside, didn't realize this until I left. The roast beef to include the horse radish sauce I think was stolen from Arby's. Same flavor and consistency. You can order a roast beef sandwich with gravy on it with 3 sides. You have no choice on the sides. It's fairly priced and might try them for breakfast to see if it's any better.

Ranchers is a hometwon favorite. Patrons need not be intimidated by the competition. Ranchers has some delicious "gems" on their menu. Their fish sandwich is worth the 4 minute wait. But I prefer only tarter and lettuce. Love their roast beef sandwich too. If you are unaware, they have a "sweet sauce" you can ask for that is similar to their competitor's "super sauce". Just ask for it and I bet you'll be hooked. Dont forget to look in your recent Tuesday flyer for a multitude of valuable Rancher's coupons. Thank you Ranchers :)

Best roast beef in town

We had the pork tenderloin meal. I had onion chips instead of fries and they was very yummy and nice n hot. The Pork tenderloin was really good.

Husband stopped to get Breakfast before going to work this morning. Understand restaurants are not doing good because of Virus, but he has gotten food poison because I believe they are selling old stuff. Would recommend not going for awhile. Concerned about their dollars more than their devoted customers

It's been hit or miss the last few times I've been there. Cold sandwiches. This time was good. I go there because it's better than Arby's.

Great food very nice staff feels like time travel back to a time of when things were a bit slower and nicer
